Review on 🐠 AIPERRO Automatic Fish Feeder: Reliable HD LCD Display Moisture-Proof Timer Dispenser for Hassle-Free Vacation Feeding by Jeannie Story

My family recently got a fish and we wanted to use it when we were away for a few days. I've been less than impressed so far, but this is our first feeder (when my fish grew we didn't have any and just let the extra feed swim before we left) so I don't know if that's normal or not. Good: * Easy to program - just set the time for it and set the feeding time easily * Easy to install - the installation is quite simple. We have a curved tank and were even able to mount it on it, although obviously a non-curved traditional tank would be much easier *Battery Life - The battery lasted almost 2 months and is still working. So great! Bad: * No real control over the amount of feed dispensed - if you have a ton of fish I figured it would work well, but we only have 1 fish and don't need to dispense much per setting. and there is no effective way to control it. The only setting you have is the size of the hole, but still you need to make sure the device is decently filled so the food actually falls out of the hole. And the opening is quite large. A lot of food comes out on every spin, no matter what you do. We had to set it to 1 feeding per day because so much food comes out and even then it was probably too much* Lid is difficult to open - Opening the lid to pour in food is actually surprisingly difficult; The device almost broke several times. Terrible* The thing is actually quite big - we had to remove the lid from our tank to install it. This is not really intended for small aquariums. However, if fine control over feeding is important to you, this device is not for you.
