Top quality grinders will cost you over a thousand dollars but it's probably the best value and their customer service is great. still a fellow espresso and home roaster, and Sette has pretty much everything you need to experiment with different grind settings. I made some of the best espresso shots I've ever had at home with this guy. One caveat I'd add is that it's very difficult to use this for espresso and other types of brews at the same time, simply because it's difficult to adjust the espresso grind size right after setting it up for the pour over/French press. etc. This may seem like overkill, but I have a cheaper pour-over Capresso / French Press, and I only use Sette for espresso. I've had this thing for two years now and what made me write this review now is the great experience I've had with customer service. The main motor failed after two years of almost daily use, one year after the warranty expired. But Baratza customer service stayed with me to diagnose the problem, send me a replacement part and fix it. Compare that to the customer service from your average cable company or airline. In any case, I recommend this product for both beginners and advanced home baristas. Quality and features are unbeatable for the price.
