Overall I liked this inverter/charger. It's a good price and I researched a wide range of inverters before ordering this one. The only problem I had was the battery selection. This is a small potentiometer similar to the charge current selection. However, the dial doesn't have position feedback, so you can't be sure what type of battery you've chosen. I also have a Victron battery monitor and it showed float charge not working. When the inverter turned on the trickle charge, it showed negative -0.5 amps instead, slowly lowering the battery voltage. (This was with no battery load connected) then after a while the battery voltage drops to 13.3V at which point the charger reverts to bulk/absorption charging. Constant volumetric/absorptive charge mode is not suitable for battery packs. After observing this activity for about a week, I slowly adjusted the battery selection back to about the European gel level and saw that the trickle charge mode is now working. (13.7 V at a current of 0.2-0.3 A). If I hadn't had a Victron battery monitor I don't think I would have been able to identify or fix this problem. Note that the wet battery type selection on the dial (volume/uptake charge: 14.8, trickle charge 13.8) is next to the FeLI battery type (volume/uptake charge 14.8 and NO trickle charge). Don't let this problem stop you. It's still a good inverter.
