No! Please do not buy.
There are no instructions - but YouTube is informative and you can easily understand what to do. You just can't do that with this device. I didn't attach it to the work surface (I don't know who does that with this tool) and it fell off easily when pressed. Magnets would be nice to hold the grommets in place - they don't, so you can't push well to even attach the grommet to the fabric. I definitely do not recommend this product. And I'm grateful to Revane that he was able to bring him back. He stinks!
