I bought this for my RX10 which is a smaller DSLR camera as shown in the pictures. It can handle the rotation perfectly, although the batteries wear out very quickly. Although it completely fails at every angle. All of this can be handled by gopro. Even in this case, the batteries will be empty within a few hours. How is it supposed to do a 10 hour spin when the battery only lasts 4? Pros: - Amazing adjustability, fine tune to spin at almost any speed for as long as you want. (Plus 1 star) - The display is easy to understand. My GoPro time lapses are looking great so far. Cons: - Poorly handles any weight. (Minus 1 star) - Battery life is poor. Even with red Duracells. (Minus 1 star) - no spirit level - connecting a larger camera on a tripod is awkward. I'm giving 3 stars because of the flaws, but 4 stars because the display and controls are really good (compared to other similarly priced devices). I'd rather have a larger, less compact lathe with a much more powerful motor and longer battery life than something that fits in my bag (my camera bag is for that). If it could work with a vertical DSLR camera it would be much more useful. I would include a bracket to balance the camera's center of gravity on the stand and make mounting the camera easier.
