I've only used or applied it to the edge of the door sill where it meets the carpet. I have dogs, and despite all the seat covers, dog hair falls onto the carpet in the car. I don't feel comfortable applying it elsewhere on my car as I'm not sure it will mark. Heat and duration are displayed. No way would I put it on the outside of the car. Who knows what he'll do with my paint. Terribly difficult to cut, and that's only for STRAIGHT FLAT EDGES. Too expensive for what it is. I will never buy again.
