I use this on my laundry room window because my neighbors cut down a tree and can now see straight into the laundry room and it annoys me. I didn't want to raise the curtain because I like the light. It's pretty easy to install, laundry friendly. But if you try to install it on the main window in your house or apartment that people will see all the time, I think you might have problems with that. You need a professional scraper and a lot of patience. I don't care about perfection because it's my laundry that has bubbles and bumps and doesn't look so good at night in the dark. At night, the bumps appear even more. I personally wouldn't want that on the main window in my house. However, it is very easy to remove. It's the same material as the window shutter you buy for the holidays that can be attached to a glass window. So if you are hesitant to use it, it might be worth trying.
