I'm a professional illustrator and I've been drawing on my iPad most of the time lately. Ever since I switched from desktop/tablet to iPad, I've had neck and upper back pain from bending over while working. I knew I needed something that would put my iPad in a more upright position to take some strain off my back. I chose this one because it seemed like the most durable option at the best price. I like this stand very much. It easily withstands the pressure of my hand while drawing, even with high-pressure strokes. Sometimes I press the base lightly with my other hand to keep it from tipping over, but only when I'm writing or drawing with great effort. I'm very glad I got this. My back is relieved from the stress of tipping over the screen.
