Review on 🚚 ZEAK 12000 lb Electric Truck Winch: Ultimate Off-Road Performance with Wireless Remote and Synthetic Rope by Wayne Laguna

I installed the unit for about a week and used it once to break the routine. Pros: - solid, well built feel - features for the price - works - helpful customer service Cons: - synthetic rope has flat sections - see photos - wireless remote does not work - more details below I installed this on a 2006 Land Rover LR3. Installation was tricky but it has nothing to do with the winch as I hid it behind my stock bumper. When I plugged it in to test, everything worked fine except for the wireless remote control. I contacted support and they responded quickly, sending me another remote and receiver along with some wiring instructions. It took longer than I would have liked to receive the new remotes, but at least I had a break from the installation work! The new instructions for connecting the remote control were very different from the original instructions. I asked Zeke about it and we had some communication difficulties, but they tried. I was attempting to install a new wireless receiver in the control box (easily disassembled with only 4 screws) and immediately realized that one of the new wire connectors was too small to fit the positive red screw - you can see the size comparison. in fig. At that moment I was very upset and wrote to Zeke again. The size of the connector wasn't answered directly, and I was tired of waiting, so I found a larger connector in the garage and screwed it under the wire and positive stud. After that, instead of following the new instructions, I connected it according to the old ones and the wireless remote worked right away. I finished the install and immediately re-messaged Zeak to express my displeasure at having to work so hard to get the wifi working. They agreed to refund me what was basically a reasonable percentage of my purchase price and I was happy to receive this level of customer service. I then got stuck in some very soft gravel tracks and tried my traction boards to no avail and was very excited. Try the Zeak winch. I got in the car and used the wireless remote control, hit the gas and it pulled out my 5700 lb Land Rover! Big smiles all around. Looking back and looking at other options in this price range, I'm not sure if I'll pick Zeak or the other, but I'm willing to bet another random Revain seller will have the same issues. I chose Zeak because the reviews were decent and I found several blog posts online recommending them. I am happy with the customer service I received and will update this review if I have any further concerns. I'm a bit worried about the rope as it has a few flat spots, possibly because it was over-wrapped at the factory.
