I needed to run some cables through my truck's firewalls and was about to use a grommet to isolate the cab from the engine compartment when I came across this. It looked too easy so I gave it a try. Wow what an easy setup. I used a step drill and cut a 1.25" diameter hole. Tuck in sleeve end, done. I spent more time looking for an open spot. So my total installation time was about three minutes. no wires or hoses in the way. Half a minute to drill a small pilot hole and check position, and the last half minute to actually drill a 1.25" diameter hole. I also liked the fact that I have room to pop in if needed future. There is no need to drill another hole, just thread the wires through and tie off the end to keep water out.
