Great fit: shocks, struts and suspension

I finally fitted these boots and they fit like a glove! I have a '05 TJ and had to run the streetlight wiring through the firewall. I found and removed the plastic cover on the driver's side (USA). I drilled the middle and pocketed the boot! He is easy to work with and I highly recommend him.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Loose

spare case!

This looks almost exactly like the original I just cut off to remove the wiring from my automatic transmission. I just need to figure out how to get what's left over here (abs) That way everything stays clean and nothing gets into the cabin. At first I wasn't happy that I paid so much for a rubber boot, but when you get it, and you see it and feel it in your hands, you understand - phew!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to say

Drilling a 1 1/4 " hole is the hardest part

Just installed this through my 02 4Runner firewall to run a ton of extra wiring for switches, inverters, etc. I didn't have to worry make tearing it through the hole. I would recommend taking a file around the edges and using caulk around the ring to ensure a seal, just in case.

OE quality, aftermarket price

I was initially reluctant to pay that much for a hub. I used to use single wire jacks which cost about a dollar. My project required about 8 wires of different sizes (ranging from 18 AWG to 4 AWG) and I wasn't planning on drilling 8 holes. It looks just as good as the OEM stuff in my firewall. Make sure you remove any burrs from the drilled hole before inserting this bushing. Also, do a test run of the wires before cutting it to size. I was surprised to find that I could use the medium size…

It's that easy.

I needed to run some cables through my truck's firewalls and was about to use a grommet to isolate the cab from the engine compartment when I came across this. It looked too easy so I gave it a try. Wow what an easy setup. I used a step drill and cut a 1.25" diameter hole. Tuck in sleeve end, done. I spent more time looking for an open spot. So my total installation time was about three minutes. no wires or hoses in the way. Half a minute to drill a small pilot hole and check position, and the…

Pros
  • Route cables safely and tidily through firewalls and bulkheads
Cons
  • Slightly dented

To update! Good for some thin wires, not so good for 1/0 AWG and larger

I bought this product to run 1/0 wire through my Chevy NBS firewall and the point is you are running a LEGAL power cord with lots of stranded 1/0 wires can if you cut it off first 2 nipples to finish things again. but that's it, the picture really doesn't tell you very well how small or big it is (its DEFF is on the smaller side). To me it's more for people who want to catch the 24-12 AWG wire through the firewall. With this little cable you can put 15 to 20 small wires through it, but you…

Pros
  • Protects wires from sharp edges; prevents chafing and shorting of wires
Cons
  • Skimpy Manual

Fairly smooth for shock absorbers, struts and hangers

This thing provides a safe transition through the firewall to the engine compartment, it's weather and abrasion resistant. I bought several of these, 2 for my boat and one for my truck. They were used to create a watertight and safe transition to engine compartments and battery storage areas. I was impressed that you only have to cut it to the desired thickness/diameter. The boat used a 1 inch diameter cutout to route 1 inch OD plastic tubing. I used it to prevent chafing and waterproof the…
