Review on 🔥 Daystar Universal Firewall Boot KU20040BK - Single, Fits 3/8" to 1" Wire Bundles, Made in America, Black by Edwin Black

Fairly smooth for shock absorbers, struts and hangers

This thing provides a safe transition through the firewall to the engine compartment, it's weather and abrasion resistant. I bought several of these, 2 for my boat and one for my truck. They were used to create a watertight and safe transition to engine compartments and battery storage areas. I was impressed that you only have to cut it to the desired thickness/diameter. The boat used a 1 inch diameter cutout to route 1 inch OD plastic tubing. I used it to prevent chafing and waterproof the transition. WORKS REALLY GREAT! I used a different shoe to route the 6 gauge battery wires through the roof rack to allow my second rack mounted deep cycle batteries to be charged. I use an extra battery box to power the 12V AC/DC converter. WARNING, this thing is not small as it can handle different cable sizes. (IT IS ABOUT 6" LENGTH) and requires you to drill a 1 1/4" hole to install it "correctly and securely". after that it is really easy to use. You don't have to, but I used some weatherproof glue to secure it in case I made the mounting hole too big (NOTE: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION). 16" and 1" cable bundles Protect cables from sharp edges; prevents wire chafing and short circuits. Ideal for wires, pipes and air ducts. You need to drill a 1.25 inch diameter hole.

Pros
  • Great for piping and ducting
Cons
  • Having problems
