This is a comfortable and lightweight helmet. The color is NOTHING like the picture but still beautiful and very acceptable. Reliable ventilation system with ten vents and front vents that close when it gets too cold. Good adjustment system on the back of the helmet. We'll be snowboarding next week so we'll see how it fares on the slopes. In general, you can pay $200-$300 for a Smith or Oakley helmet, but I really don't see much of a difference unless you HAVE to look for super big bucks in the mountains. They are all made by the same companies and have the same safety standards. The US Ski Team's official helmet costs the same as this one.go figure.
