I travel cross country and checking air pressure is a necessary evil when traveling through different climates and altitudes. In fact, almost lying on the ground and checking the rear wheel is very difficult. I've wanted to install a TPMS system on my bike for a long time, but was suspicious of the error reports I've read about sensors losing air pressure, often with disastrous results! Because of the very positive feedback on FOBO 2, I decided to do it. There are cheaper ones (actually half the cost), but given the potential threat to my life, it's worth choosing a reliable device. When I last changed the front wheel on my 2014 Nomad, the metal valve stem was tilted 90Β° because it was very difficult to check or add air with the straight OEM rubber stem between the two rotors. That was before I decided on this TPMS. But now with the 90Β° stem, I was concerned about the gap between the calipers. With the Nomad, I knew it was going to be very tight with that 90-degree stem. Contacting FOBO through their website and posting a question on the Revain product page didn't yield any actual readings (although I appreciate FOBO's quick response and the responses from Revain customers!). Responses ranged from 5mm (too little) to 3/4 inch (too much). After doing all sorts of reviews and knowing that the system was going to be very tight, I ordered the system. It arrived in a day (thanks Revain/seller) and I mounted the sensor on the loose valve stem to see how much it was lengthened. So, for those who might have the same problem as me, it adds 12.5mm (about 1/2 inch) when screwed all the way onto the valve stem. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the packaging, the booklet with a short description and the complete online manual. All clear and well written. Obviously it has taken some time to make this product top notch. The kit includes 2 gauges, 4 gauge locks, 2 wrenches with a key ring to keep one handy, 2 short straight metal valve stems, 2 extra batteries and a quick start guide. Finding and downloading the app was quick and easy, and installation was done through the app. It wasn't really necessary to read the quick start guide as the app "told" me what to do and when. The online manual provides detailed information on how to fine-tune the system settings. BTW, my front wheel sensor fits between the calipers with about 1/8" of space (yes!). Both gauges are within 1/2 psi of a gauge I trust. A test ride of the wheel showed no tire balance issues. Application and their features. I have an android phone. This thing does pretty much everything I can think of you would need with a TPMS system. I won't list all the features here as they can be found online or already posted but some of the unique features I like are the overlay service (puts a small icon over any open app for quick reference), ease of setting options high/low pressure and temperature in metric or standard units, degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit, and can even update the firmware on the sensors. My only dislike for the app is that I can't find a way to stop it without exiting the app, what there nn requires you to enter your email address and password to log back in as there is no "remember me" option. I really need the app to work all the time when I'm not driving or getting ready for a trip. One of the easiest 5 star reviews I've ever done. Highly recommended!
