I have a lot of leaves and pine needles in my pool and a regular vacuum cleaner can deal with it but at the cost of many hours unclogging and emptying the skimmer basket after that time. I read the reviews and chose this one. I attached the garden hose to the pole with a cord so as not to damage the hose connection as most of the negative reviews were related to this issue. I put on my bag. I have a valve at the end of the hose so I turned on the water and dropped the leaf neck into the bottom and top of the leaf pile and the leaves went straight into the bag! I've found that gently squeezing the throat up and down an inch or two as you move through the leaves speeds up the work. You also want to quickly pull it to the surface when the bag is full so the bag can hang down so the leaves don't fall back into the pool. I emptied the bag 4 times and it was full of leaves. Listoglot literally saved me a few hours. What would have taken 4 hours took 20 minutes. After 95% of the leaves and debris were removed I switched to a regular vacuum as the Galper doesn't pull out small debris or acorns although I wasn't expecting it. If you enjoy exploring this stuff, go ahead, but I'm telling you, look no further. This is the one you want!
