This should be a great product but it is not suitable for regular mail. Without damaging the packaging, the 1st minute/second LED display shipped had no space inside the case so the underside of the digits could not be read. Refund and Reorder - The 2nd clock LED didn't have one, so the bottom of those numbers couldn't be read. The box is undamaged again. There are white protrusions on the back that connect to something that holds the LED indicators in place. In both cases some protrusions came off during shipping (4 on 1st, 2 on 2nd) and were loose in the box. Something resembling ball bearings dangled inside the case. Worse, I called customer service and asked if I could try opening the case and repairing it without voiding the warranty to avoid returning a defective unit. They said no, it would void the warranty. This answer made no sense, but I didn't want to be stuck with a defective unit, so I sent it back. The brightness levels are fantastic - easy to read in any light. The remote control is simple and convenient for countdown or stopwatch functions. I wanted to use it in my class (teacher) but it bothers me that the instructions say to unplug it when I'm not using it. I wanted to hang the cord where the students couldn't reach it, which would make it difficult to unplug at the end of each day. This instruction not to leave it on all the time also worries me about the quality. The photos show loose tabs and what the LED numbers looked like during the 10:25 time on the second failed unit that I returned.
