I got these socks in the gray ankle length style. For my feet, they are quite comfortable. The heel and the toe are both padded more than the rest of the sock, so you have some extra comfort there. They do have a few loose (untrimmed) threads in the socks, but they aren't bad. They are starting to pill a bit. But how comfortable they are helps make up for those shortcomings.I wear a woman's 7 1/2 shoe size most of the time, but I don't like socks to be too tight, so I was tempted to get the medium. The small is supposed to fit women's shoes size 6-8, so I did end up going to a size small rather than medium. To my surprise, these are a bit big for me. I have to be careful to not stretch them when I put them on, or the heel ends up too high. I think if you are on the smaller end of the size scales, these might be too big for you.While these are not perfect, they are comfortable for me, at at the listing at the time of this review, a good value for a good sock.
