Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Schwalbe Extra Light Bike Tire Tube with 60mm Presta Valve, for 700x18/23c Tires by Carlos Deuschle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not all tubes are the same.

Well over the years I've had the impression that all inner tubes in tires are pretty much the same; These are consumer goods, so buy the cheapest, right? Not right. After another slow leak that resulted in a roadside pipe replacement, I thought I'd give it a try. I love Schwalbe tires so maybe better tubes? - High quality valve inserts. Well made and they have removable valve cores. It's not really necessary, but if you're going to use sealant, you'll need it. - Superior construction. You can see they are better made than most lamps. There is instant precision in the design. After the first week of riding I had very, very little air pressure loss. With other brands of pipes, that was the day I knew I had to buy a lottery ticket! - Lighter. I've never understood people who would buy an expensive clincher tire just to put on heavy inner tubes for "puncture protection". They're significantly lighter, much less packaged (important for parts in the saddlebag), but still give you peace of mind that they won't go bad. Yes it's true, you can probably buy 2 (maybe more) whistles for the price of one. But if they're more reliable and lighter, then that's a no brainer.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required
