This boosted the signal so I could transmit the weak WiFi signal from upstairs to the downstairs office. Unfortunately the signal went out after about 24 hours and then I had to try to connect them again. Maybe we have bad wiring in our house, or maybe it was a defective product. Anyway, this didn't solve our problem and led to many hours of frustration. I ended up buying a very high quality (expensive) wireless router and now I have a good signal throughout the house without an amplifier.
