I use a tripod (with extension) to raise my Nikon mirrorless off the table for zooming. I have two problems with the tripod: 1 - The legs are pretty short. I can barely balance the Nikon Z6 with the f/4 24-70mm lens. It's not really the tripod's fault as the physics make the balance unreliable. But it would be nice if the legs were just an inch or two longer to give me a wider base2 - The real problem is that the 1/4" screw on the ball head is too long. It hits the bottom of the screw hole in my camera before the round ground plate is tightened by the camera base. I ended up securing it with two large diameter washers stacked on top of the ball head plate and a layer of tape to protect the base of my camera and hold everything together.
