I bought this Leapfrog LeapStart kit to teach my 3 year old and so far so good! This thing is solidly built, I'm pretty sure you'll have to drop it off a three story building to destroy it. The quality is definitely there. I like that the handle stays attached and that it folds down to a decent size, making it decently portable. I took this to my doctor's appointment last week as he is a specialist and we tend to wait a long time every time we have to go. This entertained him for almost an hour until he was seen. I bought a pack of books for this set. Books are definitely not cheap! I couldn't find anywhere that only sells singles, looks like they are still on the line as a set. And they can range from $30 for 2-3 books to $60 for 5-6 books... so not cheap at all. I'm really concerned that he might lose interest sooner rather than later. I mean, even if I keep buying more books. How many times can you read the same books over and over and still enjoy it? But it's a good set! I love how intuitive it is with books, there are no settings or anything like that. Just pop in a book and you're good to go. The quality is definitely good and durable and I love its portability! All in all a great set, just prepare to spend some money on more and more books!
