Five stars for processing quality and fast delivery. It's a resonator, meaning it helps smooth out harsh exhaust pulses. There really isn't much, if any, to muffle the exhaust. That's not intentional, because if you cut off your muffler and tape this resonator to your car instead, you'll annoy your neighbors and probably a nice cop who'll talk to you about the decibel level your newly modified exhaust is running at. So - on my Fiat 500 with 1.4L engine there is a catalytic converter, after that a large resonator and further closer to the end of the exhaust; this smaller resonator. It's not too loud, and not nearly as loud as the guy with the Honda (headline, no cat, fur tank in back) a few blocks away. But your idea of what sounds good and what doesn't may differ. And yes, I wrote that furt-can instead of fart-can because Amaze-on is going to put a Kaibash on me!
