I bought this screen as an alternative to my 16" MacBook for business trips. I'm a software engineer and sometimes I need to do some serious work on the go. This screen allows me to use a lightweight 13" MacBook that I can easily carry around and the screen can throw in my luggage. When I build things I have a dual screen setup. It's perfect! This particular UHD option works really well with my MacBook (I wouldn't want to go down to a lower resolution). The picture quality is great, just like on my mac, you plug it into your mac via USB 3 and it gets power from the mac and extends the display with just one cable.
