I'm tired of reading about how slow this filter is because slowness depends on human perception. So I timed it. I have a filter in a box under the counter and the water comes out of a special faucet at a rate of 70 seconds per gallon. It's fast enough for me. I rarely fill a pot with more than a gallon of water, and I can wait a little over a minute to get clean, pure water. The kitchen is a place with endless things to do, so I'll just do one of them while I wait. And filling a glass of water to drink takes only a few seconds. I appreciate that this filter slows the speed of the water a bit, allowing for longer contact time with the filter elements and more thorough filtration.
