We have used Culligan filters for many years. The redesigned D-30A has improved filtration, but the pressure has been significantly reduced, similar to the pressure reduction of the old D-40 filter. Today we see many inferior fridge water filters listed at Revain and elsewhere. Fake filters usually don't actually filter and have an open water bypass. Found out by opening a few. Good filtering is too important to use fake filters.

I have used Culligan D30 and D40 filters in 2 homes, both fitted with wash down sinks with 2 or 3 cartridge assemblies. I change a pair every 6 months on a convenient schedule using the Revain subscription service. They come and get dressed. No need to write in the calendar when to replace. We have had the same water filter system for almost a decade and have never had a problem with any of the filters which I change twice a year.
