If your water doesn't flow like a fire hose, I suggest you find another filter for water. We have had the same water filter system for almost a decade and have never had a problem with any of the filters which I change twice a year. I followed the instructions for cleaning and rinsing this filter and the water itself seems clean enough. However, our once perfect water pressure is gone. This filter is the worst I have ever seen in terms of its effect on water pressure. What's the use of filtering water if you have to wait three minutes to fill a glass. I don't think I can last six months before having to replace it. I suggest you look elsewhere for a quality filter that does not reduce water pressure.
