Review on Polder 358 Ultra Probe featuring a High-Heat 40-inch Silicone Cord by Morgan Arnold

I have no idea why they redesigned their probe to include this useless piece of plastic. All of that "grip" prevents me from easily threading the thermometer through pot lids, grilles, and other small holes I used to insert old probes. Silicone has a high heat resistance but is not so sure about this plastic. Some of the reviews here report that they melt at normal oven temperatures. Besides, who wants to "grab" a piece of plastic that's heated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit? Hey Polder, KISS: keep it simple. ThermPro doesn't have that nonsense and their probe is all metal. We go to our line, we go forward.
