I am so happy to say that I have found my new favorite product for my thick, curly hair! Curls are a whole different matter. They require special handling and tools to act the way we want. For example, a few thoughts/lessons to tell us curly-haired girls: don't comb, definitely don't wet comb, just use a wide-toothed comb, wet, wet, wet! Gel can dry out your tresses so use a cream, use a conditioner shampoo or don't use any shampoo at all, find out who makes the thickest conditioner, chances are cheap pharmacy shampoos aren't good enough, don't wash more than once or twice a week, but if you wait too long your locks will soon become dreadlocks, fold them, don't pull them down, brush them in the shower, be prepared, every time spending at least 20 minutes brushing your hair in the shower etc etc. New product not too common for my curly hair, this is a message from heaven! And these are those foam rollers! I really feel like this product brings out the best in my curls. This is my hair.but better!1. Comb hair with leave-in conditioner2. Apply your favorite product (I just discovered Pantene Pro-V Curl Control Cream, yes, drugstore!) 3. Optional: Add a heat protectant spray when you spray your hair, or use a blow dryer4. Start rolling! (Keep large sizes for the bottom and back and smaller sizes the higher you go and very small sizes for the face.) 5. Air dry or use a hair dryer to speed up the process. The spinning process is so easy! You know those clipless curling irons? Basically, these are these curlers: start in the middle of your hair group (actually, as much as you want to curl at once, maybe an inch for each section), wrap around the bottom of the curler, and finish curling. the remaining hair over the roller to the crest of the head. To hold them in place they were then bent slightly into a tight U shape, even wider than the U (see photo). I was so surprised how quick and easy this step was. I did everything - shower, pack, roll, spray and mow the lawn while my daughter slept. I decided to grab a diffuser to speed up the process - it was noon and I had to go somewhere! I couldn't wait 3-4 hours to air dry. I dried for 10-15 minutes, took them out and sprayed a little more with my loose hair. I feel great! My hair looks beautiful from every angle. NO FREEZE. Like I said, these are my curls, but even better. I hope to use this product for the rest of my life! Please never stop producing this product! Other Pluses: - They are color coded! Thanks very much! There are tons of different sizes! Brilliant! I may order another pack in the future so I can get my hair all purple (the biggest) to get big waves. - the foam is really soft and pliable - bends and unbends easily - comes in a nice zipped plastic bag.
