Takes a massive and clunky DVI setup and reduced it in my case to a couple ultra slim hdmi cables. Works great at 1920x1080. I have a setup that involves two monitors that connect through an hdmi switch to two computers and each computer has a mini display port that has an adapter to convert to hdmi. No compatibility issues. I can confirm it works with Gigabyte Brix bxi5-4570r, a second brik of a different model number, raspberry pi 3, Surface pro 3, and a second gen chromecast. Likely wouldn't have any compatibility issues with other devices given my use of it. I haven't used the Audio ports, so I can't comment there.
