Review on ElectroOptix KT7 KT 7 KleerTemp Thermometer by Delbert Potter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keep out of direct sunlight

Make sure the spring isn't 'stuck' - you may need to tap the end of the spool to make sure everything slides smoothly. Also if a spider gets into the chamber where the needle is (yes it happened to me and the needle didn't go past 80 because of the web) just pour some water in the vent and shake it all around until the residue is at the bottom of the chamber. The temperature is easy to read from a distance even at night - the numbers are big, the needle contrasts well, and when the room AND the outside are completely dark the contrast is enough to have several of them and they are accurate to within one few degrees, and that's all you could ask for from a springy cheap plastic device, and close enough for me. I've never fallen out of a window either. In addition, for me the error of being near the window was not significant (but in one house we almost did not turn on the air conditioning, and in the other the windows were triple), so I think that the design of the thermometer is good .
