Almost Perfect Best in Camera & Photo

I specifically waited to write a review until I've used it for 30 days. Below is my experience with the camera. All in all, I'm thrilled with the camera and would buy it again. PROS: Both the camera and the app were very easy to set up. Reolink obviously spent a lot of time making this very easy and intuitive. The camera cuts a very good figure in poor light conditions. The photo and video quality is also very good. The ability to configure primary and secondary data streams is very convenient. We fully charged the camera before installation. We also bought a matching solar panel from Reolink and it has charged the camera 50-100% for the last month depending on the weather. We also found the ability to step into the camera and hear the audio very useful, and the microphone picks up very well. Initially I had a few questions which were forwarded to their technical support. A very detailed reply came promptly within a few hours. The requests contained multiple questions, and they were very good at answering each question specifically, rather than cutting and pasting canned answers. We bought a SIM card from a MINT cell phone that uses T-Mobile. The card was very easy to activate online and the camera accepted it and went online on the first boot. The 10G plan costs $25 per month. To give people an idea of the data, we used 4.5 GB of data in the first month. We are building a new house and installed a camera in a tree to monitor the property and capture time lapse footage of the building. Both my parents and my wife's parents went to the cell several times a day to monitor the progress. My wife and I would get on camera about once an hour to take a snapshot that can be used to create a time-lapse video when complete. CONS: I would like the camera app to be able to take a picture once at a selected time. Period. That would save us from reaching for the camera every hour for the next 7-9 months to create a time-lapse video. The camera can record on the go but is limited to around 33 feet. In our case, we set the camera up about 15 feet in the tree, so we didn't have much clearance to activate the motion. I'd love to see some custom camera bags. It's bright white. In our case, we tried to hide the presence of cameras, so we covered them with an old black sock, which worked really well. The location of the saved photos and videos is hard-coded in both the application and the computer software. On a Windows machine, directly in the Reolink files folder at the root of C. It gets a little unwieldy when trying to create a backup. It would be nice if you could direct him to the location of your choice. The specifications indicate that the working environment drops to 14 degrees. Our weather dropped into the single digits here last week and the camera went offline for about 24 hours. He returned to the network as the temperature soared into the 20s. This is proof that their reliable software got the camera working again and I didn't have to go to the site to reset the camera when it was warming up. None of these minuses is an obstacle for me. The camera works very well and I would buy it again. Most cons are things not suitable for my use, not a fault in the camera part. The manufacturer would have been asked to add a version that would allow multiple cameras to be linked together, so only one SIM card would need to be purchased. We have a few areas that I'd like to include, but I'm not willing to spend an additional $25 a month on cell service for each of them.
