I used to think that sound adapters like this were just a ploy to trick you into spending extra money. I was wrong about this particular model. I've had some feedback issues with my Call of Duty Black Ops II Kilo Limited Edition headphones. My audio kept clipping to a quieter, dirtier tone, and eventually I discovered that the extended audio cable I used to connect my headphones to the controller (so I could get louder audio) was shorted out. I tried a new similar audio cable and the clipping stopped, but I unhooked everything to at least try this adapter. I am SURPRISED by the sound quality. First, it gave me the louder sound I was looking for and helped me get rid of all the extra cables I used to get it. When I used a USB-only Kilo headset, the audio was usually very high-pitched and tinny. I can actually hear footsteps and the whistle of bullets. The only feature I don't like is the audio playback through the TV and headphones. It doesn't matter as I can just turn the TV off to 0. Some people like the echo effect but I don't. Please note that this adapter is very easy to connect and operate. However, the included instructions are a bit off, but that could be due to the menu changes PlayStation has made to the PS4 over the time since writing. All in all it was a great purchase. If you have an old pair of TBs I suggest you try this. As others have said, make sure your headphones are compatible as I think this only works with the models listed.
