Review on πŸ”Œ Syba 2x Serial RS-232 RS-422 RS-485 DB9 Ports ExpressCard - Reliable Data Transfer & Connectivity by Shug Quinn

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It works for some applications, not for others

Updated 2/2/15. I recently attempted to use this card to provide a serial port for a Ham Radio Packet Station, but the port just blocked my TNC. Switched to RS232/USB adapter with FTDI chip, everything works fine now. This card is useful for other jobs that require less data, such as B. Radio programming, so I changed the rating to 3 stars. Might fit what you need. This did exactly what I needed - adding two serial ports to a newer laptop so I could program Icom commercial radios. Windows 7 recognized the card without any problems and works great. My only complaint is that the cable is quite heavy compared to the card's construction, so you have to be careful when connecting it.
