I have an aquarium with plants and have received advice from professional aquascapers on how to use a used credit card to clean the aquarium glass to get rid of tougher algae (like green algae). After finding this tip I stumbled upon it and was thrilled to be able to scrape off my stubborn algae without scratching the glass or getting my hands wet. I've heard of some razor scrapers that can scratch glass and didn't want to risk it. After using it I found it to be very effective in removing stubborn green spot algae from my aquarium glass without having to get my hands wet. That being said, I wish it was a few inches longer as I usually wet my fingertips with a couple of fingers when using it at a certain angle (my tank is 17.8 inches), but other than that it works great. I've attached a picture of what it looks like when you remove the included card. As you can see, you can easily insert a used credit card, hotel key card, etc. If you have algae that is difficult to remove from glass, I highly recommend.
