Review on Samsung Business LC34H890WGNXGO Ultrawide 3440X1440 Monitor: 100Hz, Adjustable Height, Tilt, Swivel, Flicker-Free by Michael Hood

Almost every TV in my house is Samsung so I was very depressed when I had to return this monitor. Its color rendering is rubbish. Everything looks blurry. After fiddling with the controls, all I could do was make it look "good". The problem may be USB-C. I tried to get the best out of this monitor. I connected it to a computer with a display port. While color reproduction improved, it wasn't even close to what my 2012 MacBook Pro's screen was capable of in terms of color saturation, contrast, and fidelity. Resolution and response time are okay, but there is some banding. You can see where the pixels form the horizontal lines at the bottom center of the monitor. This only disappears when you increase the contrast, but then you have to struggle with even more washed-out colors. Features like eye protection are unusual, with no tangible benefits other than sepia to wash away an already poor contrast ratio. Also, the base doesn't provide enough support to prevent rocking. This is exacerbated by the constantly pushed standing desk. I expected more from Samsung, especially at this price point.
