Review on ๐Ÿ’ก ANJOSHI Industrial Electrical Holders with Overload Protection for Inverters by Justin Herman

Ok, but two caveats - update: both of ours were defective

REDUCED from 4 to 2 stars. Both of our devices appear to be defective. These are 30A switches, but both will work (more than once) at no more than 12-13A current. As far as I know, there haven't been any current surges that could cause either switch to trip that early. We had no choice but to return them (no hassle) and buy another brand listed in the link below. I have used these circuit breakers as disconnects for batteries connected to a UPS (uninterruptible power supply). The bumper is pretty handy. I just wish it wasn't so easy to turn off the switch with the button on the top of the device. The button is easy to accidentally press as it doesn't require much force to operate. I would like to see some kind of transparent plastic cover over the device. And then something occurs to me. Second, while the manufacturer has included a step-down insert that allows for the use of different size (gauge) wire, the wire is secured with a single set screw. If the best possible connection is required, it may be better to use a similar device with clamps and ring lugs. Ring connectors can be crimped on all sides (and even soldered if desired). Here is an example: Bussmann (CB185-100) 100 Amp Type III Circuit Breaker.

Pros
  • lighting and electrics
Cons
  • so far so good
