Using youtube videos I was able to understand the procedure to install these mirrors on my 2012 GMC Sierra. This is a complete factory replacement using existing wiring. simple plug n play. If your car has a turn signal circuit and a mirror heater, these functions will work with these mirrors. My car didn't have these features BUT it had the wiring already installed. These features work great on my truck, nice bonus upgrade. Note that some videos show mirrors connected directly to the control box (the device that has the mirror control built into it). On my 2012 GMC Sierra there was a small wire connector a few inches from the control box and that is where the connection for the new mirrors was made. I had to trace the wire from the original to find it. For the moment I am very satisfied with the product, it meets all my expectations. Of course, it's a lot easier to tow my 25ft trailer with the mirrors fully extended. I literally didn't understand what I was missing when I used to try to get by with clip-on mirrors. Huge difference, like day and night.
