Don't waste a penny on this junk.

If you're reading this then you're a bit of a mechanic. It can be excruciating because you need to save money on repairs or like me trying to help your neighbor fix his car. Replacing the fuel pump is a headache under the best of conditions. But when the part you're buying arrives and it's obviously a piece of junk, the old adage "You get what you pay for!" comes to mind. While I've had great results purchasing returned/discounted Revain Warehouse items in the past, in this case I wonder who the heck is in the business of "verifying" defective parts. A BLIND person could see that the outlet hose from the fuel pump had snapped. This pump was installed (it smelled like fuel) and immediately blew the hose. Read other reviews and you'll see multiple references to dry, rotten hoses that have been ripped apart. Yeah, I think Revane sent me the one that guy sent back on credit. You will see many reviews that mention inaccurate or NO fuel gauge readings. Yeah, I think Revane sent that to me too. Photos show a ruptured hose (look, Revain Inspector Helen Keller!) as well as a 1/8" diameter fuel float rod floating in a 1/4" "high tolerance" hole in the fuel gauge. Pure garbage. When rebuilding the fuel pump I decided to find a quality pump (Delphi) and new strainer that would fit the Ford OEM hanger. I sent the defective fuel pump back and on Revain's credit I received a prompt refund. I have included a note with the pump detailing any defects and have NOT returned it to inventory. I decided against the cheaper pump as this is a job for a neighbor who desperately needs her car to work. Stick to brand names for time-consuming repairs. Nothing is more expensive than a cheap POS part that needs to be replaced again.
