GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS
I like the big dial but find it a bit difficult to calibrate as the gauge doesn't read to zero. Also, there is no built in tool for setting the calibration in the case (my other thermometers have it). Also, the needle seems to stick a bit on this device, so I have to tap it on the pan to get an accurate reading. Once that's done, it seems to give accurate readings. But overall I wouldn't buy it again.
