My mother's kitchen ceiling fan is about 30 years old. My guess is that decades of metal fatigue caused one of the levers to break. But other than that, the fan still worked great. I found these and they even matched the finish. They're a little longer than the original arms, but not noticeable. You can increase the overall fan blade span by half an inch or one inch. Fit without drilling. So not only did we save about $150 or more on a new fan, I also didn't have to remove the old one and install the new one. That took about ten minutes.
