The fan blades in my kitchen were too heavy to turn, so I decided to upgrade them. After doing a little research and seeing this type of design, I decided to buy it. With the help of my dad and grandpa (mainly to help remove my old fan) this thing was easy to install (no pin needed). It comes with its own mount which is very easy to install. Attach the three wires, screw the fan base to the bracket and you're done. Previously, the process for the new fan took about 30 minutes. I would recommend using two people as the fan needs to be fairly close to the ceiling during installation. Even on the darkest settings, I was surprised at how much it triggers. It's not very loud even at maximum fan setting, but loud enough to know it's on. If it were in my bedroom I would sleep peacefully. The remote control is very intuitive and allows you to use either just the fan or the light. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy another if needed!
