Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 924-000 Front Lower Suspension Subframe Bushing Kit - Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Models, 2 Pack by Brian Thao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Do not overtighten the screws, they will break.

You have to handle them carefully. Don't tighten the little nuts that hold this in place. I did find that I broke 2 bolts off of each of them but after everything I've been through I wasn't in the mood to return them for more. It's worth it, but it's a little trickier than the rear ones as you have to reach up and over the frame to install the nuts and I had to spin the old nuts because the old bolt shanks were free to move after too they had loosened their weld. . Again, the center bolt is probably almost completely eaten away, and you can't help but wonder how it held anything in the first place. However, it's worth combining with rear hubs to make your ride stiffer and improve engine performance. I'm talking about performance in the sense that you don't feel that "drop out" of the motor when driving forward, which makes cornering feel less harsh. It doesn't help the engine transmission. The main thing here is to put anti-seize on everything to give it another 5 years of service.

Pros
  • Shock absorbers, struts and suspension
Cons
  • There are problems
