Don't waste money!

This lamp has a low price for a reason. It's not even worth what they charge for it. Assembly is required - there are several tubular sections (about 1/2" diameter) that need to be twisted together. There is cable in the sections and wire is in excess. I found it very difficult to assemble, had to let my wife hold it part of it to assemble it. However, on my lamp, one of the sections only had about 1/8" threads and they were torn off, so the two sections couldn't be put together the way they were intended. I first tried gluing the sections together with super glue - no success. Then I taped the sections together but still no luck. Finally, I glued a large colored pencil to the sections to act as a rail. Although the rail holds up All in all the lamp is an inferior product and the vertical bar that holds the lamp is not strong enough to stand fully upright (vain will send it to you) and the fact that disassembling what I assembled was a real agony, returning the product would be a hassle. We don't have a UPS store nearby and the regional UPS delivery office didn't print the label so I had to drive 45 miles to the nearest UPS store. How painful! This was what I had to do for the previous return last week. Eventually I managed to find a UPS driver to help print the label and he came to my house to collect the package. With all of this in mind, I did my best to use this thing. It took my wife and I almost an hour to put this lamp together so I'm keeping it. Luckily he's in a house where his looks don't matter. The bottom line is don't waste your money.
