This is a well made checkbook folder. Due to the dying use of checks, there aren't many of them left. The skin is comfortable and smooth. You can fit a checkbook, register, 7 cards in card cases (and more elsewhere), cash, receipts, and a fine pen (but no loop). The flap in the middle is for your registration but can be removed. In fact, this is a simple cover with no plastic part. Brand new handcrafted check book cover made from genuine soft leather Plain-1 (Yellow Brown). It also has an integrated card slot where the card can be conveniently separated. Two long pockets behind the checkbook and cards can be used for receipts, cash, checks, overflows, etc. The zip pocket is handy for extra cards, coins, stamps, etc. Although there is no pen loop, you can easily slip the pen into your wallet if you insert it through the zip from the outside. As long as you don't overload your wallet, it's pretty flimsy. But there is a LOT to do here. One issue is that the clear ID pocket is about 1/2 inch longer than standard card pockets. If you push your card all the way in, have fun pulling it out! Otherwise, don't push the card all the way in and leave it sticking out a little so you can grab it and you'll be fine. Other card slots don't have this problem. When you push it all the way down, the card sticks out like it should. Other than that, this checkbook wallet is great. I have both black and brown.
