I bought these to replace aging and rusty switches on a 2002 Bayliner dashboard. They snap directly into the existing cutout; fits perfectly. The light is a nice upgrade so you can quickly see what's going on. There are no instructions for connecting, but the two silver connectors are a dial-up connection - one for power, the other for load. The gold/copper connection is the ground for the light. If not grounded, the switch still only works with no light.
