This cleans my sheepskin perfectly. The leather felt a little stiff when it finally dried and I don't think there's a way to avoid this, especially if you wash it in water. I used to mistakenly wash sheepskin with regular detergent - a big mistake, it was so harsh - but this time I made sure to use something made for sheepskin like Aller Wash. I have a HE machine that uses little water and I set this to hand wash (delicate wash too much shaking) with double rinses. I highly recommend a double rinse, especially since I really needed to use less detergent. A little goes a long way or you'll end up with a lot of foam. In fact, I would use less than what's recommended on the back of the bottle for HE machines.
