Review on Massager Intelligent Massage Tissue Trigger by Lisa Fernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as intended, very relaxing

I have had mild cervical stenosis for years and as long as I keep good ergonomics. Diet, throat mobility, etc., it's *usually* imperceptible. However, this has been a little more problematic lately with less activity being undertaken during the COVID lockdown. So I looked at this type of massager and ended up with this one with multiple modes and two heat settings. (Some reviews of other products complained that the heat was too hot for them, so this one with two heat settings seems like good insurance.) The manual is poorly written in English, but using the massager is pretty simple: 1) Charge it (mini charger) USB device).2) Wet your neck (enhances electrical/thermal contact).3) Put it on and press the power button. It starts in the first mode with medium intensity and no heat. 4) Use the remote control to change the pulse modes, pulse intensity and heat level (off/low/high) as desired. It does what it's supposed to do and is easy to use. I immediately find it relaxing. The intensity of the pulse can vary from barely perceptible to quite strong. Heat levels are slightly warm (low) or like a warm towel out of the dryer (high). I think some people expect these devices to be MECHANICAL massagers (I know I did before I started looking at them) and not ELECTRICAL massagers. To be clear, the impulses I am referring to are electrical impulses and not mechanical movements of the massage points. It also comes with a pair of adhesive electrode pads and a pair of wires that plug into ports on the device. The electrode pads snap onto the other end of the wires. So instead of putting it around your neck, you can use it to attach pads to your lower back, shoulder, or anywhere else you might need such a massage. I haven't used pads, but it's nice to know they have that option for those rare occasions that lower back pain can occur. Because the pads are self-adhesive, they are limited in their ability to be reused, which is why the manual recommends purchasing additional reusable pads. I assume any TENS electrode pad with a snap connector will do. (Just type "TENS pad" into Revain.)

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
