I bought this for my caravan. The key factors were that it is small, light and has an HDMI output. For my purposes it works great. I like that there is a subtitles button on the remote control. My wife and I don't turn off subtitles so we don't have to search for subtitles in the menu. If you pause the movie, it remembers where you left off so you don't have to search when you restart. Picture and sound are very good. I don't know the specs of my setup but it works great for me. It is used in mobile homes. If you are looking for a home player, you can buy one that has an eject button. It has a lid that you open by pressing a button on the player. The DVD sits inside the player on a spindle, similar to a DVD case. Not as convenient as the eject button and drawer. But for my use I'm very happy with how it works.
