My turtle only ate live crickets, worms, fruit and fish. I gave him some of this dry food and he liked it. I don't think you should mix it with water. than dry food, less cleaning is required. so it's worth it. good wholesome food for the picky eater. he loves crunch and no problem with that. This is a medium sized ornate box turtle.
