This valve replaces the original valve on a 40 year old Sanborn 10 gallon air tank. After filling the tank to 100 lbs. Under pressure, the original valve releases all pressure after a few days and is no longer available in the event of a power failure. The replacement was easy, but I had to buy a new $6 adapter to fit the air hose I was using since an outlet on the replacement was different than the original. Also had to use a spanner to loosen the original header because it was actually seated. Three days after filling up to 100 pounds. The tank stays at around 95 pounds. because of the cold nights in the garage. Success.
